Glenn T. Stanton is the Director for Family Formation Studies at Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs. He debates and lectures extensively on the issues of gender, sexuality, marriage and parenting at universities and churches around the country. He served the George W. Bush administration for many years as a consultant on increasing fatherhood involvement in the Head Start program and is a regular columnist at National Review Online and Boundless.
He is the author of many books and a contributor to nine others. His latest book is Secure Daughters, Confident Sons: How Parents Guide Their Children into Authentic Masculinity and Femininity (Multnomah, 2011). His third book, Marriage on Trial: The Case Against Same-Sex Marriage and Parenting (InterVarsity Press, 2004) was featured on C-SPAN BookTV. His fifth book is available early September 2011by Moody, entitled The Ring Makes All the Difference: The Hidden Consequences of Cohabitation and the Strong Benefits of Marriage (Moody).
Glenn has been widely quoted as a leading spokesperson on marriage and family issues in major newspapers and magazines such as New York Times, Washington Post, USATODAY, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, Salon.com, The Advocate, Washington Blade, and Los Angeles Times. He has published articles in Christianity Today, The American Enterprise, The World & I, Family Policy, Current Thoughts and Trends, National Forum and Dr. Laura’s Perspective. Glenn has also made numerous appearances on cable and network television shows such MSNBC, Nightline, ABCNews FOX NEWS, CNN, the Today Show as well as a return guest on the Dr. Phil Show.
He and his wife have five endlessly growing and amazing children and they live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
